Nutrition support for guides, outfitters, camps & outdoor brands

Most outdoor businesses handle food the way they always have. The menus someone wrote six seasons ago that hasn’t been adapted for current day grocery prices. Staff who figured out their own fueling by trial and error (mostly error) or who still aren’t sure how much sodium they need. A dehydrated dinner that sounds amazing at a desk but has zero appeal on trail. Confusion and anxiety when a client with celiac or a dairy allergy (or both!) books a trip.

I'm Anna Titcomb, a registered dietitian (RD) and certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) based in Ellsworth, Maine. I spent over a decade in clinical nutrition before opening my own practice, and I've spent considerably longer than that outside - I led wilderness trips for Wavus Camp for Girls in my twenties, spent time behind the scenes managing complex nutritional needs with catering, grocery shopping, and on-site cooking in residential facilities, and I still plan my own long days in the Maine woods and on the water. And as a clinical registered dietitian, I know how to build menus around dietary restrictions, food allergens, nutrient needs, weather extremes, food access, and food safety.

For guides, outfitters, camps & schools

Staff training — from $750

A 90-minute session for your guides and trip leaders on fueling long days in the field and feeding clients well. Covers what to eat and when, hydration and electrolytes, cold-weather and high-output fueling, and how to handle the dietary restrictions that show up on every trip. Up to 25 people, remote or in person within an hour of Ellsworth. Snack and hydration samples provided.

Trip menu review — from $500

I look at what you're currently feeding people and tell you what's working, what isn't, and what to change, with written recommendations, plus a call to talk them through. A good first step if you're not sure you need the full build or just want some feedback.

Trip menu & ration planning — from $1,200
